It’s D day!

I’ll do a simple timeline of the L&D, my nearly natural birth. :)

  • 8pm, watching AI, ctx were annoying
  • 10pm, call dr since they’re consistent, she wants to check me in L&D
  • 11pm, admitted, still 3
  • 12-2am, only hit 3.5
  • 2am ctx are worse so she breaks my water
  • 2-3am, think I’m dying
  • 3:05am get epi, really going to die, ask nurse to check me. I’m complete.
  • 3:10am nurse is begging me not to push b/c dr is delivering someone else
  • my foot goes numb, nothing else, 3 pushes
  • 3:18am she’s out
  • 3:30 epi kicks in 1 leg so now I’m stuck in bed for 2 hrs.
    Here she is, fresh out of the oven.

My wonderful baby shower!!

Kelly and my mom planned an awesome baby shower for me! The

theme was a tea party.

I was so excited, because I hadn’t had a shower since my Juno-style

one back in August 1994 for Bryce!

The menu was amazing. We had mimosas (well, they did), fruit salad, finger sandwiches, baked brie (my FAVORITE)

I think shaye must’ve received 20 outfits!

And she also got 3 pink bouncer seats that I registered for from Target. By the way, I will never register for anything at Target again.

Their return policy sucks.

Hello 3rd Trimester!

I just got back from my appointment. I was in the God forsaken office for 3 hours!!!
According to my ultrasound the baby is growing just fine with the SUA (just a little below 50%), and she’s approximately 2.3lbs. All of her organs look great!
The placenta previa has corrected itself, YAY!
I failed my gestational diabetes test! BOO!!!!!
So I’m sitting here drowning myself in a bowl of jelly belly’s. My next GD test is Monday so send me good luck vibes!

Looks like you’ll be paying for another wedding…


Bob, my mom and I left for the doctor’s office first thing the morning after Christmas.
Today was the BIG determination day.
Bob was sure it’s a boy, I’m thinking girl.
Bob is ticking me off and taking calls during the entire ultrasound.
What a beautiful baby. Measuring perfect. Long legs. Over a pound. Oh wait…w a i t. I see it. I turned to Bob and said, “looks like you’ll be paying for another wedding.” He looked at me, my mom laughed, and the tech finally says, “I’m tryin‘ reaaaal hard to find you a penis, but this baby is 100% girl”.
I did find out I had placenta previa, and a condition called SUA. Single Umbilical Artery. http://www.womens-health.co.uk/sua.asp
Basically, a reason to freak me out for the rest of my pregnancy, and for them to constantly monitor me. I was put on a high fat diet to be sure she’d gain weight. I was encouraged to stay off of GOOGLE and the internet.
Right, the first thing I did, GOOGLE. Big mistake!
