My favorite fourth of July ever was in 1986.
Random?
Not totally. When I was a kid, we use to travel A LOT even though my father’s health was usually in the shitter.
Most New Yorkers remember that the Statue of Liberty needed major overhauling back in the early 80s. NYC planned a HUGE to-do for the rededication in 1986, so my father took us there for the celebration that year. I was only eleven, but I still remember that day, and especially the evening because the firework displays were OUT OF CONTROL.
Anyway, enough of memory lane.
Here are some fourth cakes
and minis….
and on behalf of my favorite tv series “Real Housewives” because Countess Luann’s ex-husband’s family, The De Lesseps, did in fact give us that Statue of Liberty
