I don’t want to write 1 big, boring run on post about Disney so instead I’ll break it up by day and post-date them to last week. Cuz that’s just easiest for a very tired, lazy me.
So the 7 1/2 hr ride to Orlando was fine. The kids were good, we only had 1 quick meltdown when I decided we should give the babies a “break” and let them play in a Chickfila play yard. It seemed like such a great idea until Brinn refused to leave telling us she didn’t “care” about seeing Mickey Mouse. Right, cuz the chickfila play thing is that great…
We checked into Heather’s dad’s place right outside Disney and the rooms were SO nice and the location couldn’t have been better. We had to hit Walmart that night to buy groceries. What a friggen hell hole. Not dirty or messy but just full of those Disney tourists who were also “People of Walmart”.
Day 1 we went to Animal Kingdom.
A Background story of my July 99 mom group…so we went white water rafting back in 2004 in Colorado. When people in a passing raft asked how we all met, we said “babycenter”. But what the dudes heard us say? RABIES center. Yep, so we were known all day as the Rabies Moms. Heather B found these shirts for us and how could we not wear them to the Animal Kingdom?
Heather B and I dragged the little ones back to the condo (literally, we maneuvered 3 strollers out of the park and it was no small feat) for naps and cocktails while the dads and Sharri stayed with the big kids. This idea was amazingly brilliant.
That night was my night to make dinner, rice and black beans and green chili enchiladas, and homemade sangria. You know it.
