We eat a ton of shrimp in our house because the kids love it. Often when we go out for dinner, the kids order something with shrimp in it, especially scampi.
This is so stinking easy to make it’s ridiculous, especially if you pick up those precooked bags of shrimp when they’re on sale at the grocery store.
Obviously fresh shrimp tastes better but in a hurry, who cares?
To cook fresh shrimp for the scampi, check this out HERE.
For “scampi”, heat some olive oil in the pan and saute garlic (I used 3 chopped cloves) and chopped onion. (usually use green or shallots, but was out of both and used 1/2 a medium vidalia). Saute until they start turning clear, add 2 tbsp of lemon juice, 2 tbsp sherry, chopped parsley (as much as you like) salt and pepper. Toss the cooked shrimp into the sauce and cook up a box of whole wheat pasta and whip up a salad.
That’s it. And dinner for everyone cost me about $11 instead of $11 EACH.

Let's take a step back here and realize that we should all cook our own shrimp.
While I do agree with you, there are days I just don't give a shit. And the cooked shrimp is on sale.
