Here’s the first installment of Mommy Fail Friday…
Who hasn’t been here??
Today’s featured blog: Motherhood is Poop.
One Mom’s Fight Through the Diapers.
A Washington Mom who uses humor to discuss everyday life and how it impacts diapers and body functions. Instead of popping crazy pills, she blogs.
Every day in my life as a mother is consumed with poop. Who pooped? What did it look like? What was the texture? How many times? Seriously, if someone came up to your 20-year-old self and said, “Someday, when you’re a mom, you will think about poop all day, every day” would you have believed them?
Her six year old Michaela is chronically constipated. Sometime in the future she will google herself, only to find mommy has been discussing her body functions with the entire world. The two and a half year old with the most beautiful name ever, Maeve, is entering the world of potty training. And her one year Alasdair was born with a rare condition called Hirschsprung’s Disease which leaves her with no choice but to obsess over his diapers. The thing that cracks me up about this blog is that I get it. I get the poop obsession. What mom isn’t distracted by diapers? I know that I pick Shaye up all through the day and give her a sniff. It’s a reflex like coughing when you choke. Pick up baby, check for stinky pants.
with my nose of course….So just remember, some of us mom’s probably seem really weird, gross, and pathetic to non-moms by obsessing over our kids diapers, body functions, and poop in general. But I must remind you that if we don’t, the picture at the beginning of this post is our reality. And cleaning it up is just a shitty job. Go check out Jessica!http://motherhoodispoop.blogspot.com/
